Le carnaval



Pour le carnaval, nous avons fabriqué le masque de notre animal préfère. Admirez le zoo de l EFID:

Apres avoir defilé et recité notre poeme "Carnaval" , nous avons regardé le bonhomme carnaval brûlé.

Rong's Birthday

Today,  Rong was warmly welcomed by all of her classmates: as soon as she arrived in the classroom, everybody began to sing, "Happy Birthday".

 


Later on, during snack time, Rong blew the 6 candles of her magnificent birthday cake, and we all ate a piece of cake.

At the zoo (language activity)


 The students commented the pictures and the teacher wrote exactly what they said.

Maxandre: I see the bus. I see Solene, Simone, Tim, Tristan and Rong.
Teacher: What are you doing?
Maxandre: We are doing the “Tchou-Tchou train”.
Teacher: Why are you making a line?
Maxandre: Because we need to go to the zoo. We take the bus to go to the zoo.

Lara: It’s an animal picture.
Mara: I actually know what it is. It’s a map.
Teacher: What map?
Lara: It’s a map of animals.
Teacher: Do you agree Arash?
Arash: No, it’s a map of Bangladesh.
Lara: It’s just a picture of animal.
Teacher: What is a map for?
Maxandre: When we don’t know where we are going, we take a map.
Mara: This is a map of the zoo.
Teacher: How do you know?
Lara: Because it is written zoo here. Z, O, O is zoo.
Arash: Here, it is written in Bangla.

Mara: We are taking snack time. I see Matthias, Arash, Ryaan, Lara, Amelie and Rong and Soniya. We are sitting on a wall. We took the snacks from our backpacks. (To Lara and Arash) You see yourself? (To Maxandre) Maxandre, you’re not on the picture. Only Arash and Lara are on the picture. We took our water bottle and we drink it.

 





Rong: It is us eating snack. Everybody is eating snack. I see me and Amelie and Mara and Shania and Timy and Abdullah. 

Shania: We eat our snacks. I see the animals.
Simone: We didn’t see the animals there.
Nathaniel: Yes, at the zoo.
Simone: But not when we were eating.
Shania: We finish our snacks. We walk.
Nathaniel: In the zoo.
Shania: In the road.
Simone: That’s not a road. Roads are where cars are.
Shania: We have hats. We have some bags.
Nathaniel: We have sun screen that help you doesn’t burn. If you get burn that’s hurt.
Amado: (showing each item) Eating snacks. Hat. School bags.

Tristan: I see reindeers. There are walking and eating. I see a daddy reindeer and a baby reindeer and a mummy reindeer and also other reindeers. They walk and the see us. They look at us. This tree is all cut here. I see a mummy and a daddy right in the back. They are eating and the other ones are looking. Look, they are eating grass.


Lino: Crocodile.
Teacher: How many crocodiles do you see?
Lino: Four.
Jules: A green water.
Teacher: Yes, the water is green.
Jules: And the crocodile is green.
Teacher (while writing the sentence): The crocodile…
Lino: …is green.
Jules: And they have dirty bottles. And dirty water.

Yahya: I see some crocodiles. I see something like water, but I don’t know how to say it. We are looking at the crocodiles.
Teacher: Where is the water?
Yahya: I think another body is going to put water on this piece.
Rong: She look sleeping, but she not sleeping.
Teacher: How do you know?
Rong: Because she opening she eyes.



Lino: Monkey.
Jules: I see a monkey in the cage. I see our class
Teacher: What is our class doing?
Jules: Looking at the monkey.
Teacher: Did you like looking at the monkeys?
Jules: Yes.
Teacher: Why?
Jules: Because the monkey was jumping.

Tristan: The monkey is holding something up. It’s so cool.
Yahya: He is jumping on the wall.
Rong: No, she do like she jump and she catch something.
Yahya: She catch the wall. And I see a tree.
Tristan: He holds up and then he jumps, right?






Tim: At the zoo.
Teacher: What do you see on this picture?
Tim: I see Amelie.
Teacher: And?
Tim: Mara.
Teacher: And?
Tim: Shania.
Teacher: And?
Tim: Gemma.
Teacher: And?
Tim: Simone.
Teacher: And?
Tim: Lara.
Teacher: What are they doing?
Tim: Eating.
Teacher: Is it lunch time or snack time?
Tim: Lunch time.

Abdullah: This is snack time.
Teacher: Who do you see?
Abdullah: Tristan, Jules, Lino, Maxandre and Rong. They are eating.
Teacher: Where are they?
Abdullah: At the zoo.
Teacher: Did you like the zoo?
Abdullah: Yeah.
Teacher: Why?
Abdullah: Because it’s nice.

Ryaan: I see a buffalo. The buffalo is eating the grass, I think. And… …They are standing. And… …They have horns. They have feets. They have a tail.
Teacher: Do you like buffalos?
Ryaan: Yeah, I like.
Teacher: Why do you like them?
Ryaan: Because they can run fast.

Matthias: I see a buffalo. And it’s looking at us, everybody from the school. And it has grass down. It has horns. It has fur around everywhere him. It’s in a big cage. It has a little bit big rocks. And there is a big line and it’s straight and it’s blocked by other animals.
Teacher: Do you remember when we were at the zoo watching at this animal?
Matthias: Yes
Teacher: Did you like it?
Matthias: Yes
Teacher: Why?
Matthias: I liked it because he couldn’t eat any people. He could just eat fruits and vegetables.


Amado: A giraffe.
Nathaniel: It’s in the zoo.
Simone: Yes, it’s in the zoo. The giraffes are in the zoo.
Teacher: Do you like giraffes?
Amado: Yes.
Teacher: Why?
Amado: Because the giraffe is brown, golden and yellow.
Simone: Actually, giraffes are not yellow. (Pointing at the giraffe’s fur)They are the same color as here.
Teacher: Why did you like the giraffes at the zoo?
Simone: Because it was looking very nice.
Nathaniel: Because I like it. I want to get a giraffe costume, but there is not one in Bangladesh. There is in America.

Simone: We saw the giraffe.
Nathaniel: No, that’s a zebra.
Simone: We saw the zebra. First, the zebra was in the cage and then he went out of the cage. That’s all I can say.
Nathaniel: The zebra eats grass and leaves. They eat flower.
Simone: No, they don’t eat flowers.
Nathaniel: Yes, it does.
Simone: I never see a zebra eating flowers.
Shania: (pointing at the tree’s leaves) I see leaves for the zebra to eat.
Amado: Zebra eating.

Ishaan: Somebody is sleeping in the bus.
Teacher: Is it a boy or a girl? What do you think?
Ishaan: A girl.
Teacher: Tell me about this girl.
Ishaan: She has some long hair. She’s T-shirt is yellow.
Amelie: Her T-shirt is yellow.
Teacher: Why do you think that she is sleeping?
Ishaan: Because she is tired.
Teacher: Why do you think that she is tired?
Ishaan: Because it was long. It was far. The zoo was far.
